 I'm going to try to update a few times this weekend, because I've been such a friggin' slacker and I need to get back in the swing of things. Don't get alarmed if I don't update, mind you; my silence is about 45% due to lingering back pain keeping me out of my computer chair (now finally clearing up, but don't tell my wife, as I'm still milking it for backrubs), about 45% due to rather oppressive heat that's quashed my creativity, and about 10% due to various other things, none of them particularly important on their own.It is, in fact, the heat that got me up at 5:00 this morning, when I finally decided it was futile to try to sleep. It has never before bothered me this much in the 13 years I've spent in Seattle; I think it's more humid than usual. I went out last weekend and bought Nicole and I each a small fan for our offices; what this means is that I now have hot sticky air blowing on my head rather than simply sitting there. Plus a much noisier office. I have done some work here and there at putting old entries into the new journal, so if you browse back into the older stories or the various topics, you'll find some of that older material creeping into place. Don't say I didn't warn you. |
